WHAT IS YOUR COACHING PHILOSOPHY?
I strive to create a positive learning environment for each player to gain competitiveness and belief in themselves, while maintaining discipline and increasing their passion for the game. I guide players to increase self-confidence and self-awareness through communication, critical thinking, discovery and experimentation. As a mentor and coach, I also have a responsibility to each player, and myself, to strive for continual improvement while conducting myself in a manner that respects the game. I develop the person first and then the player, providing on and off the field life learning.
WHAT DO YOU SEE AS YOUR COACHING ACCOMPLISHMENTS?
Credit for accomplishments all go to the players that overcame adversity, challenged and supported each other every day to reach semis and finals of tournaments or leagues. Win or lose, to learn and gain confidence on and off the field from hard work and commitment to each other. I feel accomplishments go beyond a medal and trophies list.
WHAT IMPACT DO YOU WANT TO MAKE FOR YOUR TEAM AND THE CLUB?
My objective for this year is to empower players to be more independent thinkers in problem solving. For each player to challenge themselves to believe and compete each day at a higher level while supporting teammates.
